Quite frankly, I was just seeking a quick week of internship as a school requirement. However, little did I expect of placement I would be provided by the school until I had come across StandTall. Overall, it was an interesting week to experience a team of passionate volunteers to help the needy. Furthermore, I found much more understanding about the Sichuan earthquake as well as the experiences of patients from their perspective. |

Despite my limited ability to help with important matters, I was able complete translation work and other office work that did contributions to the StandTall community. Nevertheless, I was also provided the wonderful opportunity to check up on one of patients of StandTall. In addition, our interview and interactions with Pang Ya Zhi has given us an insight to her recovery. With the news remaining positive with her optimistic attitude towards her school life and her future, we leave with satisfaction to see her recover and regain her new life. |
