Starting as a healthcare organization established one week right after the Sichuan earthquake, our aims have extended beyond the immediate earthquake relief efforts. By installing highly advanced prosthetic limbs for our patients, we hope to pave the road for them to eventually reintegrate into social life and regain a sense of normalcy.
Furthermore, we have planned to facilitate a comprehensive rehabilitation program to train 1,000 local rehab professionals in collaboration with the Sichuan-Hong Kong Rehabilitation Center. This allows sustainable development for rehab industry so that not only can there be optimal care provided for the earthquake victims, but a pool of local elites will emerge to promote rehabilitation development throughout the nation.
